
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A person who was involved in a stand-off with police Wednesday after barricading themselves in a hotel room in Pulaski Park was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.
Officers responded about 1:10 p.m. after a male barricaded himself in a room at a hotel in the 6000 block of North Lincoln Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.
The male shot himself during the incident, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details.
Police were conducting a death investigation.
