CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are hoping that new information regarding a fatal hit-and-run crash on the South Side on December 29 will generate new leads.
This was the incident involving two men, one in a wheelchair, the second pushing the wheelchair in a crosswalk at 95th and Ashland. The man on foot was killed. He was dragged for seven blocks. The man in the wheelchair was seriously injured.
The car involved is a white 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, with Illinois registration CZ74463. Police are not saying whether the car had been reported stolen.
The latest information is that the Equinox was last seen driving north on 77th and Aberdeen with the hazard lights on. It would have damage to the front passenger side fender and hood. Someone in the area may have the car and the man driving on security video.
Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information.
