CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A woman from Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood is offering a $5,000 reward in hopes of recovering her dog, which supposedly was lost in Waukegan while a dog-sitter was watching him.
Mia Morgan said her dog, a Doodle mix, was in the care of someone working through the Rover app, described as the Uber of pet-sitting, while she was on a trip.
She would later learn the dog disappeared on the same day she dropped him off: March 18.
She said she doesn’t believe a word the sitter tells her.
“The story is he was lost in Waukegan, but we are doubting that’s true. The reality is, something could have happened with him. He maybe got lost in another city. Maybe she sold him. But it’s just not adding up.”

She’s now offering a $5,000 reward.
She said there are good people on Rover.com, but she doesn’t have much good to say about the company.
