(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A shooting on the Bishop Ford Freeway Tuesday afternoon involved passengers on a Pace bus.

The bus was traveling outbound on the Ford near 130th street when, Illinois State Police said, an argument between passengers escalated to the point that shots were fired. It happened at about 3:45 pm. Nobody was hit.

The driver pulled over to the shoulder and police responded. The shooter, a man, was reported to have gotten off the bus and was seen running toward the 130th Street exit. Police were questioning at least two people. It’s unclear how many passengers were on board at the time of the shooting. Some were seen standing outside the bus on the shoulder.

These buses are equipped with cameras, but state police were asking for witnesses or anyone with knowledge about the incident to contact them.
