CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Park Ridge resident Ted Sigg placed six tombstones on his front lawn, each representing a death due to a certain belief about COVID-19 and vaccines.
With phrases like “Proudly anti-vax,” “Ivermectin believer” and “I’d rather die than comply,” Sigg said he has no plans to remove the display even though it was defaced over the weekend.
“They were put out by 5 in the afternoon and the next morning they were vandalized,” Sigg said.
He told WBBM Newsradio he wanted to send a message to vaccine deniers.
“I'm just trying to make people aware, get vaccinated. I really believe in it,” Sigg said.

After filing a police report, Sigg rewrote his pro-vaccine message expecting it will likely be targeted again.
“My grandkids were involved in coming up with the ideas of them too,” Sigg said. “They said, ‘Your house is going to get egged’ and that's what we assumed but this just totally caught us by surprise.”
Sigg said he hopes newly installed security cameras will keep it from happening again.
