(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Four people were shot and killed on a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue Line train Monday morning, police said.

The shooting took place shortly before 5:30 a.m. at the Forest Park Blue Line Terminal, located on Des Plaines Avenue. Three victims were found dead at the scene, and the fourth was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officers were able to locate the suspect using CTA security footage. That suspect was found and arrested on a CTA Pink Line train, and a weapon was recovered.

The suspect is currently being held at the Forest Park Police Department.

Blue Line service was temporarily suspended between Forest Park and Austin as police investigated the shooting. The CTA said shuttle buses were running between the stations in both directions.

Officials said they're working to notify family members of the shooting victims before releasing their identities.
