
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A teenager was killed after a shooting that took place on the city's West Side early Friday morning.
A 17-year-old boy was standing on West Polk Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood just after 2 a.m. when a black car pulled up, and the person inside opened fire.
Chicago police said the teenager was shot multiple times.
He was transported to UIC Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.
No arrests have been made. Area 4 detectives are investigating the shooting.
