Criminal charges are expected to be filed today after a woman was wounded in a stabbing Wednesday afternoon at a hotel in Schererville.
It happened at about 3:30pm at the Staybridge Suites Hotel on Fountain Park Drive.
Police and paramedics found the woman stabbed in the head and a suspect was taken into custody. It appears to be a domestic incident. Police told the Northwest Indiana Times, this was an isolated incident and there was no further threat to the community.
The woman was treated at the scene and was taken to a hospital with non life threatening injuries. The suspect was taken to jail.
