Young Nandi Bushell, the British musical prodigy whose talent and bright smile have blossomed in front of fans’ eyes through her incredible YouTube clips, joined Drumeo last year at the age of only 13, solidifying her among the ranks of the biggest names in music to grace the series.

Following up her “first time” attempts of Twisted Sister and Dio tracks, plus presentations of Shinedown's "Dead Don't Die," Duke Ellington’s “Caravan” and System Of a Down’s “Toxicity,” Bushell’s performance of the Foo Fighters classic “Learn to Fly” has finally dropped --and she rocked it with drumsticks given to her by the band’s late drummer, Taylor Hawkins.

As a reminder, Nandi, just 11 years old at the time, was welcomed on stage in London during the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert following his passing in 2022. “He gave me these sticks, which are the sticks I performed with at Wembley,” she explains in the Drumeo clip. “It was a bittersweet moment, because of course it’s amazing to play Wembley Stadium, but it was why I was playing there.”

“Taylor has a lot of energy,” she said of Hawkins' style, “he’s a powerhouse on the drums, a beast. His hits are always really hard, and he’s just incredible on the drum kit.”

After perfectly playing along to the track with only her drum track in the mix along with the rest of the Foos, Nandi adds, "Taylor wasn't just an amazing drummer, but he was an amazing person and I feel really special to have known him, and privileged to be a part of Wembley and meeting him at The Forum."
