
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men are sought by police for a violent mugging spree in Queens this week, police said Tuesday as they released images of the perps and a car connected to them.
According to police, three of the robberies happened Sunday, two within 15 minutes of each other. The last one happened on Monday.
In the first robbery, around 7 a.m., the suspects approached a 54-year-old man as he walked in front of 25-24 45th St. in Astoria and threatened to use force, then forcibly removed the victim’s property before fleeing.
At 7:15 a.m., a 78-year-old man was repeatedly punched in the face as he walked in front of 31-12 71st St. in Jackson Heights and robbed before the same duo left.
Police said the pair repeatedly punched and robbed a 66-year-old man at 8 a.m. while he was walking in front of 29-26 Union St. in Flushing. The men fled.
Both men were treated by EMS at the scene.
The two suspects approached a 45-year-old man as he walked in front of 111-15 75 Ave. in Forest Hills on Monday, simulated a firearm and forcibly removed the victim's items before fleeing. No injuries were reported.
