After both the Braves and Atlanta United had successful seasons last year they both came into their respective seasons with high expectations. The Braves young nucleus and perennial All-Star in Freddie Freeman are supposed to be taking the next step, and competing for a World Series. The Five Stripes are defending MLS Cup Champions that are just supposed to be reloaded and just as explosive and dangerous as last year’s championship team.

It’s safe to say neither team is living up to expectations right now. The Braves just barely avoided getting swept by the Rockies and are 4-6 in their last 10 games. While Atlanta United did win their last match it was by the skin of their teeth versus a winless Colorado Rapids team. With both teams being in a funk right now Thomas raised this question to the listeners what team frustrates you more? United or the Braves?

After taking calls, and giving his own opinion the results were close but it seems like around Atlanta people are more frustrated with Atlanta United. The reason The 5 Stripes are more frustrating right now is because with the Braves they really only have one major problem, the bullpen and everybody knows it. The fans know once Liberty Media finally decides to spend some money on the bullpen the Braves will most likely be a lot better. On the other hand, the fans can’t really put their finger on one fatal flaw for Atlanta United. It has been a combination of not being able to score, Pity and Josef still trying to find their chemistry, and a lot of other things. Atlanta United has championship expectations, and their loyal fanbase has the same expectations. Right now expectations aren’t being met and the frustration is starting to boil over on all sides. However the good news is everything is basically still in front of Atlanta United and the Braves. Both teams still have time to meet their expectations, it’s just a question of if they will or not.
