Two people have been charged in connection to a weekend shootout at an Upstate hotel. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at the Sleep Inn on South Blackstock Road in Spartanburg.

Deputies say, a group of people started shooting at each other on the hotel's 2nd floor. Three people were injured in the shooting and were taken to a hospital to be treated. Two of them are said to still be in stable but critical condition.

Two suspects, Damionn Lesean Thomas and Roland Ajani Collins have been arrested. They are both charged with shooting into a dwelling, property damage and a weapons violation. Collins is also charged with possession of a stolen gun.

Investigators say that most of the rooms on the 2nd floor were vacant which prevented more people from being injured in the shooting.
