A now former Upstate deputy is facing charges after an internal investigation. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says 36 year old, Darren Mattison Jr. is charged with misconduct in office and breach of trust with fraudulent intent.
The Sheriff's Office says evidence shows that Mattison manipulated his time card and received pay for work, he did not do. He was arrested Tuesday and was terminated from his position with the Sheriff's Office.
Mattison had been in law enforcement for over a decade.
