A Pickens County man has been sentenced to prison on drug trafficking charges after he no-showed his trial. Court records show that 48 year old Nathan Douglas Garrett was convicted last week on his 2nd offense for trafficking meth.
The charge came after Pickens County deputies went to Garrett's house to serve a warrant in 2024. During a subsequent search of the house, 2 and a half ounces of meth were found along with digital scales
. Garrett didn't show up for his trial but was later located and apprehended. He's been sentenced to 17 years in the South Carolina State Prison System.
