When the Beastie Boys’ MCA passed away in 2012, many fans thought it was the end for the iconic hip hop group. While Ad-Rock and Mike D have stayed busy, the two haven’t released any new music as the Beastie Boys since 2011. However, that could soon change as Ad-Rock recently revealed there is a full albums worth of Beastie Boys material sitting in the vault that he may one day release.

During a recent interview, the Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock claimed a follow up to 2011’s 'Hot Sauce Committee Part Two’ could be on the way. “We actually have a whole full album. I’m not even kidding…I can’t disclose, but I can tell you, with all honesty, there is a whole other album,” said Ad-Rock. While the rapper didn’t announce plans to release the music any time soon, he claimed it would be shared with fans at some point, according to Vibe.

“I don’t know if the world … really needs that right now—but maybe they want it? I don’t know. They’re going to get it, at some point, because I’m going to put it out,” said Ad-Rock. Other than music, the group has released a book and a documentary in recent years. Now, all fans have to do is wait as new music cold be next.
