Amazon has been blamed for hurting a number of businesses in recent years, but none quite like the shopping mall industry. However, with malls throughout the country seemingly on their last legs, the online retailer may have a way to help revitalize them. Amazon recently announced they have partnered with shopping malls in 10 cities to test their new one day delivery program, and three of the malls selected are in DFW.

Ordering from Amazon is already one of the fastest way to get products shipped, but now they want to speed that up even more. The online retailer will now be able to fill orders using other retailers’ stores and employees for one day shipping using businesses located in shopping malls. According to Dallas Morning News, NorthPark Center, Galleria Dallas and Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre will all be a part of the test program.

Prime customers in DFW will be able to place orders from PacSun, GNC, SuperDry and Diesel. Amazon is also testing this program at malls in Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Seattle and Washington, D.C. While Amazon hurt malls in the past, this may be the thing that finally brings them back.
