DFW Airport is one of the largest airports in the country, which is frustrating when a flight switches terminals, but is great for trying to kill time before a flight. Each terminal has plenty of restaurants, bars and stores to waste time and spend money in, and now a new business is opening up in the airport that should have many excited. Amazon recently announced they will open an Amazon Go store in the airport, that features their “just walk out” check out technology.
Travelers at DFW airport will be hoping they end up in Terminal D by this summer, as DFW’s first Amazon Go store is expected to open at in July. The 600 square foot kiosk will begin construction soon that will cost an estimated $650,000. Unlike other stores at the airport, Amazon Go uses “just walk out” technology, where customers download an app, and it tracks everything they leave with without having to check out.

According to Dallas Morning News, this continues Amazon’s plan to further cashierless store technology. The service will be introduced at Amazon Fresh grocery stores as well. Soon enough every thief will be using the excuse that they thought they were in an Amazon Go store.
