The Dallas Cowboys may have missed the Super Bowl this year, but DFW was still well represented on Sunday. Not only was quarterback Dak Prescott in attendance to accept his Walter Payton Man of the Year award, but North Texas’ own Hunt family, owners of the Kansas City Chief, ended the game victorious. However, it was after the game that the metroplex got their competitive juices flowing again, as one of our own is competing in the new Gordon Ramsay show that premiered after the big game.
Season 2 of Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Next Level Chef’ premiered Sunday, after the Super Bowl, and this year’s contestants include a 19 year old chef from Arlington. Back in 2022, Preston Nguyen made headlines by becoming the youngest winner at the World Food Championships. Now, that victory has led him to the televised food competition led by Gordon Ramsay.

“I know a lot of people who haven’t met him before say he’s really grumpy, but everybody who’s actually worked with him say he’s really nice,” Nguyen said of Ramsay, who is known for being explosive in the kitchen. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, Nguyen is one of 18 chefs competing this season. Hopefully, he can bring another trophy home to the metroplex.
