When you're walking through the grocery store looking for a little sweet treat for yourself, the first thing most Texans would reach for is a carton of delicious Blue Bell ice cream.
That doesn't seem to be the case anywhere else, though.
In fact, unless you're from the great state of Texas, there's a good chance you find Blue Bell absolutely disgusting.
A study from the food magazine Eat This, Not That! ranked Blue Bell as one of the worst ice cream brands nationwide, specifically for its "low quality ingredients."
The magazine said that Blue Bell's ice creams "contain a plethora of modified ingredients that may have unwanted side effects. Certain ingredients, such as xanthan gum, have been linked to an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, and the umbrella term 'artificial flavors' is too ambiguous."
