Going above and beyond to help someone is always great, but when a child does it, it’s even more impressive. That’s exactly what one Carrollton teen did recently when he used his favorite sport to raise money for charity. The high school student managed to raise $75K for childhood cancer by helping to organize a charity baseball game.

Jordan Seinera is a freshman at Hebron High School who has loved baseball his entire life, and wanted to use the sport to do something good for others. The teen decided to throw what he calls “the first annual Strike Out Pediatric Leukemia Charity Baseball Game.” The game took place at the Frisco Roughriders’ stadium with teams comprised of high school students who wanted to help.

According to NBC DFW, the honorary chair for the event was Amelia Dammen, who is battling acute myeloid leukemia. Overall, the game raised $75,000, which will benefit Leukemia Texas. Hopefully this event will continue to grow and raise even more money for childhood cancer.
