Catherine Zeta-Jones to play Morticia Addams in Tim Burton’s ‘Addams Family’ reboot

When it was first announced that Tim Burton would be bringing an ‘Addams Family’ reboot to Netflix, many fans of the series started dreaming up their perfect cast of characters for the new show. Now, it has been announced that someone who likely landed on many of those lists has been added to the series. It was announced recently that Catherine Zeta-Jones would be playing Morticia Addams in Tim Burton’s upcoming series, ‘Wednesday.’

Not much is known about the new series, other than it will be told from the perspective of the Addams family daughter, Wednesday. Catheirne Zeta-Jones joins Luis Guzmán, who will be playing her husband, Gomez Addams, and Jenna Ortega, who plays the titular Wednesday Addams. The new series will also mark Burton’s television directorial debut.

According to NME, there is no premier date for the new series at this time. Still, many fans are excited to see what Burton will bring to the franchise. With Catherine Zeta-Jones now on board, fan anticipation is about to go even higher.
