Bears are some of the most feared animals on the planet. Normally, people won’t even attempt to get near a bear without a barrier. Of course, most people aren’t the size of Dallas Cowboys’ linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, who recently went viral after sharing a clip of himself hand feeding a bear while on a fishing trip.

Leighton Vander Esch is definitely enjoying his off season. The NFL linebacker recently shared photos from a recent fishing trip he went on in Idaho, but it was the video he posted that got the internet’s attention. As seen in the now viral clip, Vander Esch hands a fish off to a wild bear for it to devour.

“Definitely a couple firsts this weekend. Not often you get to feed a wild bear and get a picture with two sturgeon in the same frame,” Vander Esch captioned his now viral post. According to New York Post, Vander Esch also shared photos of a massive sturgeon he caught on the fishing excursion. It may be hard for the other players on the Cowboys to top this off season experience.
