The biggest problem most people have with Chick-fil-A is that it's not open on Sundays. Could you imagine catering your NFL Sundays with a big pile of nuggets drowned in Chick-fil-A sauce?
Unfortunately, Chick-fil-A probably will not change that policy any time soon, which is just fine with Dallas burger joint Burger Schmurger.
The East Dallas restaurant has just added a brand-new item to the menu: a chicken sandwich that is ONLY available on Sundays! Take that, Chick-fil-A.
Like all of Burger Schmurger's smash burgers, the Side Chick is a pounded thin piece of chicken brined in pickle juice, breaded, fried, and brushed with rib-rub oil owner Dave Culwell makes himself. The sandwiches are then dressed with burger sauce and layered with coleslaw, pickles, and pickled red onion.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the first Side Chicks will be available this Sunday October 8th, and every Sunday following!
Burger Schmurger's kitchen is open Wednesdays through Sundays at High Fives, 1804 McMillan Ave. in Dallas!
