Dallas’ first hi-fi bar will be opening this fall inside the former bank vaults beneath The Drakestone in downtown.
Run by Tim Headington, he told Paper City Magazine the bar “Shyboy” will bring “a social and listening experience unlike any other nightlife space, with progressive, genre-bending programming, signature hi-balls and cocktails, and two state-of-the-art OJAS sound systems” to downtown Dallas.
Hi-fi bars specialize in “high-quality audio reproduction.” So rather than going out and hearing music blasting through the speakers, music at these venues would typically be played from vinyl records.
Along with high-quality music, Shyboy will also offer soft-serve ice cream and cocktails.
Shyboy is expected to open this fall and will be located at 1313 Main Street (inside The Drakestone).
