The Fort Worth Zoo recently welcomed a new baby giraffe born on May 31.
They have yet to name the animal and want our input in deciding what their name will be.
Residents can vote on a choice of three different names to call the giraffe:
-Kumi — The name is Swahili for 10, in honor of mom Kala giving birth to her 10th calf.
-Honey — This is in recognition of the fact the baby is as sweet as can be.
-Iris — This moniker is a tribute to the state Fort Worth calls home, as the iris is a native Texan plant/flower.
Voting HERE ends on June 27.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the giraffe was born standing 6 feet and 2 inches tall and weighing 152 pounds to mother Kala, and father Apollo.
