For 81 years, Dallas Summer Musicals has been bringing national touring productions to DFW. Many classics have been seen at the Music Hall at Fair Park over the years, and that will continue. However, it won’t be under the name Dallas Summer Musicals anymore. The performing arts organization recently announced they are rebranding to “Broadway Dallas.”

Along with a name change, the organization hopes to launch new sub-brands that better reflect their core mission. This includes investing in educational programs and community partnerships. "We changed our name from Dallas Summer Musicals to Broadway Dallas to accurately capture who we are and what we do," said Ken Novice, president and CEO of Broadway Dallas.

With the name change comes a brand new lineup of shows coming to DFW. Broadway Dallas recently announced their 2022-2023 lineup, according to WFAA. Hopefully the new name brings 81 more years of entertainment to the metroplex.
