Dallas woman Autumn Mathas had never seen an episode of the classic television series The Golden Girls. We can guarantee neither had her 20-month-old daughter Evelyn Mae.
Still, that didn't stop the hairstylist and her mother from shaping Evelyn's hair as if she were friends with Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia.
Evelyn's Golden Girls-style haircuts have set the internet on fire, garnering millions of views on TikTok.
Mathas told PEOPLE, "We were just having fun blowing out Evie's hair and then boom, we get millions of views. It just came out of nowhere — I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, it's so crazy."
The 28-year-old mother added "we cannot help ourselves but to do her hair. She was born with quite a bit of it."
And the reaction online has been nothing but special.
"Everyone has been really, really amazing," Mathas says of commenters. "It's been so wholesome, and we've been greeted with nothing but love."
