Parents are always proud of their children, which is why many refrigerators are covered with their kid’s mediocre artwork. Of course, some kids actually have art skills, and now they will have the chance to show off their talent in a place a bit more public then their parent’s kitchen. DART recently announced a new contest looking for Dallas area students that want to have their art displayed on the DART vehicles traveling around town.

Earlier this year DART introduced a new bus network that promises to connect Dallas area communities and change the way customers move.
The slogan for the change is “simpler, better, faster and easier” and DART wants to find artwork for their vehicles that matches that theme. Dallas area students from all grades are able to submit artwork for the contest.

All the winners selected will have their artwork displayed on galleries and on DART buses and trains among other prizes. According to Star Local Media, submissions for artwork are due by April 8. Soon DART vehicles will look very similar to refrigerators throughout the metroplex.
