North Texas residents know all too well that flying in and out of DFW Airport can be quite a hassle at times.
Let's just hope you get to the airport with plenty of time before your flight takes off.
A new study conducted by KURU footwear found that DFW Airport has the "longest airport walk" in the entire nation.
The walk from the entrance to the farthest gate at DFW measures in at 1.5 miles. The second-longest belongs to Denver International Airport at 1.14 miles.
It doesn't help that DFW is the second-largest airport in the country and fifth-largest in the world.
The airports with the longest walks in the country include:
1 – DFW Airport (1.5 miles)
2 – Denver International Airport (1.14 miles)
3 – Washington Dulles International Airport (0.97 miles)
4 – Pittsburgh International Airport (0.86 miles)
5 – Orlando International Airport (0.70 miles)
The airport with the shortest walk in the nation is Trenton-Mercer Airport in New Jersey, with its shortest walk from the entrance to the nearest gate at 0.03 miles.
