The days of walking a family member all the way to their gate for a flight are coming back, at least for a select few.

Per NBC DFW, DFW Airport is one of only 13 airports in the country that will allow eligible TSA PreCheck members to enter security and pass through the gates without having an airline ticket.

The TSA said on its website, “As an exclusive benefit for our most trusted travelers, this new program makes it easier to return to the gate for welcomes and send-offs, meet friends during a layover, and enjoy dining and shopping along the way, bringing back the moments that once defined air travel.”

The program is called “Gateside by TSA PreCheck,” and though it’s free people must apply online one to three days before their planned visit and must receive approval before going to the airport.

The program is available at only 13 airports across the nation to start, but the TSA says it plans to expand it to more airports in the coming months.
