Streaming may have made at home movie nights significantly easier, but there are still plenty who miss the experience of going to a video rental store to make their pick. Luckily, a bit of video store nostalgia is heading to DFW in October. A new roaming art exhibit by Sweet Tooth Hotel is expected to open in Allen with a video store theme, bringing some old school flavor to the metroplex.
Since their first art exhibit in 2018, Sweet Tooth Hotel has made a name for themselves in DFW, bringing a number of different themed pop up art instillations to the metroplex. Now, their latest exhibit will feature 10 installations from six artists showing off a variety of disciplines, such as; paint, fiber, graffiti, murals and more. The centerpiece of the exhibit will be a mock vintage video store full of VHS tapes, with hidden spaces for guests to discover.
According to Dallas Culture Map, tickets will be $20 for adults and $15 for children. The exhibit will open October 15 at Watters Creek at Montgomery Farms. For anyone looking for a bit of nostalgia, this might just be the place.
