Raising a family can get pretty expensive, which is why parents are always looking for ways to lower the bill any chance they get. Luckily for parents in DFW, a recent report has named multiple cities in the metroplex among the least expensive places in America to raise a family. In total, four North Texas cities made the top 10, with no other Texas cities cracking the list.
Data management firm, Harmony Healthcare IT, recently unveiled their top 10 list of the least expensive cities in America to raise a family. To determine the rankings, the study looked at components such as the cost of living, education, childcare, crime, healthcare and housing. Based on the data, Plano was ranked number three, followed by Irving at four, Garland at six and Fort Worth at ten.

According to Dallas Culture Map, Plano ranked so high thanks to an exceptional academic environment, diverse population, residential neighborhoods, and outstanding city amenities. Taking the top spot on the list was Gilbert, Arizona. As for Texas, when it comes to raising a family, there is no better place than DFW.
