DFW has seen a ton of growth in recent years. Thanks to numerous people and businesses moving to the metroplex, plenty of North Texas cities have expanded to levels most never thought possible. Now, one DFW suburb is being awarded for their growth and innovation, as the Colony’s Grandscape was recently named the world’s most innovative retail and entertainment project.

Ever since Nebraska Furniture Mart opened their doors in 2015, Grandscape in The Colony has seen exponential growth, adding a number of attractions, such as; The Grandscape Wheel, Jurassic World: The Exhibition, Puttery, Electric Gamebox and more. Now, the mixed-use development has received one of the highest honors possible, winning Retail and Leisure International magazine’s “Most Innovative Retail and Entertainment Project” award at the Global RLI Awards in London.

“While we’re excited about what we’ve built, we’re even more excited about what is to come with the future phases of this project. Grandscape is a one-of-a-kind destination, and we’re just getting started,” said Grandscape President Jeff Lind. According to Dallas Innovatives, even more restaurants and entertainment options are expected to open at Grandscape in the near future. Now, there is yet another thing DFW does better than anywhere else.
