Dirk Nowitzki is no stranger to competition.
His accomplishment throughout his 21-year NBA career (all with the Mavs!) prove that, but after retiring from basketball a few years back Dirk seems to have domination of another sport in his crosshairs: pickleball.
It was just announced that Dirk will headline the Deep Eddy Vodka Celebrity Pickleball Showdown before the Pickleball World Championships!
Dirk participated in the game last year, competing with golfer Scottie Scheffler, former Cowboys QB Tony Romo, Mavs head coach Jason Kidd and Dallas Stars legend Marty Turco.
Per WFAA, Dirk is the only announced athlete so far for the celebrity match. Last year, he took home the "Most Funnest Player" award.
The Pickleball World Championships will be held from November 1-10 at Brookhaven Country Club.
