Every parent wants their child to get the best education possible. Luckily, here in DFW there are plenty of schools that are considered some of the best state has to offer. In fact, one Dallas ISD school was recently named one of the 10 best schools in the entire country.
U.S. News & World Report recently unveiled their rankings of the best high schools in America. Texas was well represented throughout the entire list, but one Dallas ISD school stood out above the rest. According to WFAA, The School for the Talented and Gifted was ranked 8th on the list. Only two other DFW schools made the top 25 nationally, with Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School coming in at number 20 and Science and Engineering Magnet School at 22.
Those three DISD schools were also named the top three schools in Texas. "Folks, I’ve got a tweet storm for the deluge of good news in the latest @USNewsEducation ranking of the best high schools in Texas. Dallas ISD has 38 high schools – 11 of which rank in the top 100 in Texas!” tweeted Dallas ISD Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde. This is a list that should make any parent happy to live in DFW.
