Dog owners always have to worry about how their dog may react to seeing other animals whenever out in public. While some dogs just sniff around in curiosity, others go nuts at the sight of any other animal. Luckily for a woman in Australia, her dog was the curious type when a shark came near their boat. Instead of acting in fear, the dog leaned over and gave its new friend a kiss.

Diving instructor Jade Pursell recently decided to take her dog out for an excursion off the coast of Australia, where her golden retriever surprisingly made a new friend. As seen in the clip that has since gone viral, the 22 ft. long whale shark emerges from the water, as the curious dog leans over giving the shark a few licks and sniffs. “I was so happy. To see Sailor meet a whale shark, I honestly just felt overjoyed. Animals are incredible and it couldn't have gone any better,” said Pursell.

According to Fox News, Pursell often interacts with the shark when in the area, but this was the first interaction with her dog. Many online were amazed at the dog’s reaction, claiming their own dog would never act the same. Hopefully these friends never turn into enemies.
