Donnie Wahlberg is one of the rare celebrities to have success in both music and television. More recent fans may know him from his work on the series ‘Blue Bloods,’ but it was his time as a member of New Kids on the Block that helped launch his career. Now, Wahlberg is reminding fans of those days, sharing a photo from 1991 showing him in the studio while working on his brother, Mark Wahlberg’s album.

In the photo that has since gone viral, Donnie Wahlberg is seen sitting behind the control board of a music studio, excitedly working on his younger brother’s album. Like Donnie, Mark Wahlberg got his start in the music industry as well. “There are few feelings greater than the creative high of producing music (on this day it was Marky Mark aka @markwahlberg’s album).
Then leaving a 15-hour session and listening in my car to the song I made — over and over ‘til I got demo-itis!” Wahlberg captioned the photo.
According to Outsider, the photo has received over 28,000 likes since being shared. Many fans were hoping the nostalgia would lead to the Wahlberg brother’s getting back in the studio together. Maybe it’s time for a Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch reunion.
