The normal procedure at a fast-food restaurant is to drive through, not drive into.

Unfortunately, a drunk driver was behind the wheel and drove into a McDonald’s in Forney, crashing into the restaurant and injuring four individuals.

One was rushed to the hospital, though all four are expected to recover from their injuries.

Employees Keira Boyd and Madeline Nauman Santos were sitting in a booth in between their shifts when suddenly, a car plowed through the restaurant wall last Wednesday.

Boyd told NBC DFW, “The last thing I remember me saying is, he’s parked kind of funny.  All of a sudden he starts backing out speeding.”

Nauman Santos added, “The last I heard was, ‘Lookout!’ And then I heard a big explosion and everything just went white, and then I remember I saw blood and the first thing I did was army crawl.”

The driver took off but was nabbed by the police after a short chase.

The driver, 28-year-old Luis Soto, has been charged with four counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle, criminal mischief, evading arrest and driving while intoxicated.
