Every band has a story to tell, especially when they've been in the spotlight for over 40 years. That's especially true for Duran Duran, who has weathered multiple storms, from lineup changes to infighting, throughout their career. Now, their story is being given the Hollywood treatment as drummer Roger Taylor recently revealed a biopic about the band is in the works.
With the success of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'Rocketman' in recent years, Hollywood continues to push out biopics, and it appears Duran Duran is next on the list. According to the band's drummer, Roger Taylor, multiple scripts have been looked at, and he expects something to be made in the near future. "We haven't quite decided on the right one yet. But there are things in development so we will see where they go. We would love to do something like that and I think something will happen in the next few years," said Taylor.
According to NME, there are no actors currently attached to the project, though Taylor did claim he would like to see "a really good Hollywood actor to play me." Luckily, the film will have plenty to focus on, as the band has been together since 1978, and have released 15 studio albums. For Duran Duran fans, this film can't come soon enough.
