DFW has become quite a good food town in recent years, with a variety of cuisines served throughout the metroplex. However, BBQ still reigns as king in Texas, which is why one North Texas restaurant has decided to join forces with one of DFW’s most beloved BBQ restaurants to create a fusion of flavors never seen before. Italian market Eataly has teamed up with Terry Black’s Barbecue for a one night only Italian-Texan dinner.
On June 28th, Terry Black’s Barbecue will take over the kitchen of Terra, the third floor restaurant inside Eataly, for a four courses of Italian-Texan meal with wine pairings. Tickets for the one of a kind event are currently on sale for $125 per person. While the full menu is still unknown, guests are expected to eat Terra classics, Terry Black’s classics and some that are a combination of both, according to Dallas Morning News.
This is not the first kitchen takeover Terra has been a part of, previously teaming with Nick & Sam’s, Uchi and Uchiba and Loro. The latest should be just as good, as Eataly’s West Coast Managing Director Stefano Murialdo called Terry Black’s “one of the city’s best barbecue joints.” After this meal, Italian-Texan food may become a DFW specialty.
