Elton John has fans in just about every city around the world. Throughout his career, the iconic singer has traveled the globe, singing for adoring fans everywhere. Now, John is traveling throughout the United States saying goodbye to fans on his farewell tour. However, after all the stops it seems he finally forgot where he was. Elton John went viral recently after accidentally thanking the wrong city on social media after a show in Kansas City.

Earlier this week, Elton John performed at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri one final time. While John put on a great performance and seemed to enjoy his final time on the stage, he ended his night making a mistake that is every musician’s nightmare. John took to twitter after the show to thank the fans. However, he accidentally thanked Arkansas City, instead of Kansas City.

According to Fox4KC, Arkansas City is a real place, but is located in Arkansas not Missouri, and only has a population of just over 400 people. Luckily for John, the fans seemed to forgive his mistake since it was his final show. Maybe he can correct it by going on one more farewell tour.
