There are plenty of people who believe riding a motorcycle is one of the most dangerous activities someone can attempt. However, for those that think riding a motorcycle isn’t dangerous enough, they may soon have the opportunity to take their ride a step further. The first ever flying motorcycle successfully completed its first ever test run recently, bringing the bike one step closer to becoming a reality.

Jetpack Aviation’s “The Speeder” is a 231-pound flying motorcycle that features four turbojet engines that can run on kerosene or diesel fuel. According to Yahoo, the bike recently completed a series of test runs that included taking off, climbing into the sky, hovering in the air, twisting and spinning, and performing “slow transitions into forward flight.” With these test flights now complete, the company will begin the next step; working on a more advanced prototype.

The bike will reportedly be able to travel 300 miles per hour and as high as 15,000 feet for 20 minutes. Many motorcycle enthusiasts were excited to give the flying bike a try. Maybe this will even beat the flying car to market.
