Next time you're flying out of DFW and are craving a cup of coffee, don't be surprised if it's served by R2-D2.
The Fort Worth coffee shop Ampersand has partnered with RobotLAB and Hestia Robotics to launch the first-ever coffee robot at DFW Airport.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, with "Gizmo," offers coffees, matchas and teas with flavors like vanilla, honey, snickerdoodle or coconut. Guests can choose from 27 different signature drinks.
Ampersand CEO Toan Luong said in a statement, "At Ampersand, we believe technology is the driving force behind an exceptional coffee experience.
"Designed to serve guests 24/7, this system ensures that travelers and airport employees can always enjoy a quality cup of coffee without the wait."
Gizmo is located at Terminal C, and will begin operations on Monday, April 7.
