Despite many being told they should follow their dreams as a kid, by the time they reach adulthood they are forced to drop those aspirations to focus on a different career. However, one police officer in Fort Worth isn’t letting his job get in the way of his dreams. The officer is attempting to compete in the National Rodeo Finals while also completing his duties as a Fort Worth police officer.
Officer Stephen Robinson followed his dream of becoming a Fort Worth police officer after watching the TV reality show 'Cops.' Now, he hopes to tackle another lifelong aspiration; competing in the national finals rodeo. Robinson and his horse Wendy travel all over the country, competing in rodeos for cattle roping.

According to WFAA, Robinson will compete in the Bill Pickett Rodeo competitions in Fort Worth this summer, in hopes of qualifying for the national finals. “Sometimes the job can be stressful, just like any other job. They just have different stressors. But this is my way of releasing that stress," Robinson said of his work/rodeo balance. This is definitely one officer that doesn’t mind being on a horse.
