Summer may be officially over, but some aren’t quite ready for pool season to end just yet. Luckily there’s already a new water park in the works in Texas, and it’s going to be massive. Great Wolf Lodge broke ground on their second Texas location this week, with the new water park expected to open in 2024.
Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine has been a popular summer destination in Texas for years, but now the nationwide family resort and indoor park is giving fans a second option in the Lone Star state. The new location will be in Webster, near Houston, and will feature a 95,000-square-foot indoor water park and a 58,000-square-foot family entertainment center known as the Great Wolf Adventure Park. According to Dallas Culture Map, the new resort will have 532 rooms on the 27-acre property.
“With millions of families visiting our resort in Grapevine, we know Texas families love the Great Wolf Lodge experience and we’re excited to introduce our second resort to the Lone Star State,” said Murray Hennessy, CEO of Great Wolf Resorts. With this new park, the summer heat just got a little more bearable.
