Usually libraries only have to worry about one thing being stolen; books. However, one North Texas library had something even more valuable taken from them recently, their life-sized skeleton model. Now, Haltom City police are looking for the skeleton. Luckily, it shouldn’t be hard to find as it was dressed up in a Tinkerbell costume when it was stolen.

The Haltom City Public Library recently took to social media to share the news that their beloved skeleton, Boney, had been stolen. While the library called it “a sad, sad day,” but now the Haltom City Police are on the case. “The library was kind enough to simply put a post up asking for the return of the skeleton, but no one wanted to fess up so now we gotta do it like this," the library wrote in their Facebook post announcing the theft.

According to NBC DFW, the skeleton was dressed up in a Tinkerbell costume with silver wings attached when stolen. Police shared a security camera image of the theft, saying they would like to talk to the person holding the skeleton. All they want is for the skeleton to be returned, so it won’t be like that lost library book you found years later.
