At 921 feet high, the Bank of America Plaza is the tallest building in Dallas, and this weekend many took on the challenge of climbing the building’s steps. The 15th annual Big Climb Dallas was held this weekend, and people from all over the metroplex came to Downtown Dallas to help raise money for charity. The event was in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which aims to not only find a cure for cancer but improve the quality of life for survivors.

On Saturday, hundreds of people participated in Big Climb Dallas, walking up the 69 flights of stairs in the tallest building in Dallas. According to Fox 4 News, the charity has raised more than $315,000 so far. “We've made it family event. We all went through it. I may have been the one who was sick, but we all went through it, and we all survived it and we’re here to celebrate and to raise money for others," said Ashley Beane, who is a cancer survivor.

Participants this year included firefighters climbing in full gear, families, and even some businesses. The event was once again a success. Hopefully, even more money will be raised next year.
