A little over a year ago, a two-alarm fire roared through the Hooters in downtown Dallas.  Though employees were inside the restaurant at the time, all escaped with injury.

The only reported injury was to a firefighter, who suffered injuries to his head, face, and leg.

Yesterday, the restaurant celebrated its grand reopening, where a ceremony was held honoring the firefighters that extinguished the flame, and Dallas Fire-Rescue Officer Ryan Catlin who was injured doing so.

Per WFAA, Catlin tore his quad fighting the fire, which sidelined him for nine months, but after surgery and rehab he returned to active duty in April.

The Hooters, one of the largest in the world, has re-opened as an "Original" Hooters which, according to CultureMap Dallas, means returning to its roots "with a simpler menu, housemade ingredients, original wing sauce, classic Hooters Girl uniforms, and a renewed focus on community and hospitality."

The restaurant is located at 2201 N. Lamar St.
