
When it was first announced that a documentary was being made about the life and career of Janet Jackson, fans knew plenty of controversial topics could be discussed. Now, they are getting a clearer glimpse of what’s the come, and it appears the film won’t shy away from anything. To kick off the New Year, Lifetime announced the film’s official release date, along with sharing a new trailer for the two part documentary, and fans couldn’t be more excited.
2021 may have been a year of redemption for Britney Spears, but appears 2022 may be all about Janet Jackson. ‘Janet’ will air in two parts on Lifetime starting January 28 and will discuss topics such as her controversial 2004 Super Bowl halftime show with Justin Timberlake, and her iconic brother, Michael Jackson. The trailer also shared a star-studded list of interviews included in the documentary including; Missy Elliott, Janelle Monae, Whoopi Goldberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Mariah Carey, Teyana Taylor, Tyler Perry and more.

According to UPROXX, ‘Janet’ was directed by Ben Hirsh, and was executive produced by Janet Jackson, along with her brother Randy Jackson.
Now fans will only have to wait until the end of the month to hear the real story about Janet Jackson. Hopefully it doesn’t disappoint.
