Earlier this year, it was announced that Buc-ee's was planning on opening their largest location in Tennessee. Of course, Texas was not thrilled about this and the company quickly reversed course, announcing a new store being built in the Lone Star state would surpass the size of the Tennessee store, restoring the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan. Now, Buc-ee's has announced that location in Luling, Texas is set to break ground this month.
On November 16, Buc-ee's will break ground on what will eventually become their largest location in the United States. The Luling location will occupy more than 75,000 square feet, 1,000 square feet more than the Tennessee location. According to KXAN, Mayor CJ Watts of Luling, former Mayor Mike Hendricks of Luling, Caldwell County Judge Hoppy Haden, and Luling City Manager Mark Mayo will attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
The new store will feature 120 fueling positions, thousands of snacks, meal and drink options for travelers, as well as its award-winning restrooms and cheap gas. They will also bring jobs to the area, with plans of employing a 200 member team. With this new store, Texas once again can claim to be the biggest and best.
